Erma L. Goodwin 86 of Springfield passed away August 28, 2015 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born May 8, 1929 in Springfield, Ohio a daughter of Douglas and Mary Q. (Thomas) Evans. Ms. Goodwin was employed at McCall's Publishing Company where she worked for many years. She had been a member of the Church of Jesus. Her memory will be cherished by her three sons, Michael Goodwin who took very special care of her and Eric and Kevin Goodwin; a brother and sister-in-law, Springfield Police Chief Roger L. and Sharon Evans, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; a very special cousin, Mary (Paul) Beamus who were like sisters and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Denise Goodwin; brother, Carl W. Evans and sister, Doris B. Kelly. Visitation for Ms. Goodwin will be Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with family present at 12 noon. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday in Greater Grace Temple with Bishop with Ronald Logan officiating.
