Our loving father, Edward L. Tilley, was welcomed into the arms of GOD on January 06, 2024. He was greeted by his father and mother, Ed and Evelyn (Johnson) Tilley.

He leaves behind three daughters, Tashana Mitchell, Qiana (Frederick) Shropshire and Julissa Tilley; two sons, Edward L. Tilley Jr and Isaiah Tilley; seven siblings, Peggy Lenior, Howard Snodgrass, La Donna Williams, Lu Cretia Armstrong, Dee Edre (Dana) Finley, Michael (Qualisha) Tille and Cecil Dickerson. He also has 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In his free time, he enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Washington Redskins. He also enjoyed fishing, bike riding, and was a master chess player. Dad never knew a stranger and would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was a great cook and a loving father.

Our Dad will be dearly missed, and we are grateful he is no longer in pain as he now resides in the Heavenly Kingdom with the Lord.

Visitation is Monday, January 15, 2024 from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.  Burial will be Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 9 a.m. in Dayton National Cemetery with military honors.
