Edward Alan Hall, 66, of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2025 in the comfort of his family. Alan, as he was so passionately called, was born on December 31, 1958 in Springfield, Ohio to Olivia Mae (John) Howard and Felton J Hall. He is survived by his son, Calvin Echols; sister, Rhonda Hall; nephew, Barry Hall all of Springfield, Ohio; niece, Shaminica Davison of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and a host of family and friends that loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his father, Felton J Hall; mother, Olivia Mae (John) Howard; brother, Barry Hall; wife, Theresa Hall; (maternal) grandparents, Thomas and Missouri Thaxton and (paternal) grandmother, Orvelle Cocker.

Alan graduated from Springfield South High School Class of 1977. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army. He was a mentor to many and never met a stranger. He was a die hard Cleveland Browns fan and dared anyone to talk about them, you would definitely hear about it in a way unknown to man. He loved playing softball and could make a bowling ball dance down the lane. Big Al as his son called him among many others was loved by anyone who knew him. He was a major presence in everyone’s lives that could never be replaced. He was definitely one of the good guys and if you had the blessing of being around him it was guaranteed that you would laugh nonstop. His storytelling was top tier, no matter how many times you heard it, and regardless of what version you heard. Edward Alan Hall you will be missed and forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon in the Robert C Henry Funeral Home 527 S Center St, Springfield, Ohio 45506. The repast will follow immediately after the memorial service at the VFW 1237 E. Main St, Springfield, Ohio 45503.
