Eddie M. (Buford) Walls, 89, born December 8, 1927, daughter of Dayton and Minerva Buford, was called home to be with the Lord April 14, 2017. She attended elementary and junior high school within the Springfield City School system. She graduated from Springfield South High in 1946. Involved in the church, she was baptized at a very early at the Church of God on Clay Street under the leadership of Elder C. L. Garrison. In 1966 she became a member of El Bethel and after a long and distinguished membership in 1991 became a member of the House of Prayer under the leadership of Bishop Lawyer Walls. Eddie played the piano for both churches and was a faithful member of the missionary. Her faith and compassion led her to care for young children as well as some elderly within her home in her spare time. Bishop Lawyer Walls, her husband, who she wed in holy matrimony October 16, 2008, departed this life February 16, 2013. Eddie Walls was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her son, Terrance L. Ellison of Centerville, OH; twin sister, Minerva Harris of Indianapolis, IN; stepdaughter, Marsha Walls; stepson, Bobby (Theresa) Greene of Greensboro, NC; nephew, Robert "Bobby" (Barbara) Buford; sister in law, Ruth Davis and a step brother in law, Louis Walls all of Springfield, OH. She is also survived by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family members, including the church family of the House of Prayer. She also departs before her long time dedicated friends Patricia Newby of Phoenix, AZ, J.D. and Debra Brandon of Springfield, OH and Eloise Cortner of Cleveland, OH.
