Dorothy Mae Miller, 83, of Springfield, took the wings of the morning to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 27, 2013. She was born April 22, 1930 in Boley, Oklahoma, a daughter of Andrew and Kizzie (Tolliver) Laskey. Mrs. Miller was a devoted member of the Mt. Zion Baptist church and she was very active in many church and civic organizations. She loved special times with her family and was an excellent cook. She leaves to cherish her memory 4 loving daughters, L. "Peachye" Miller and Denise Miller Singleton both of Oklahoma City; Tracie Miller-Collins and April Miller- Brown both of Springfield; three brothers, Rev. R.C. (Savannah) Laskey, O.C (Violet) Laskey and Herman Laskey all of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Carletha Thompson and Argartha Marie Tyler both of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Lenisa Crossley, 3 great grandchildren; a godson, Jesse Bennett; a goddaughter, Mary Alice Brown, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends including Rosie Curtis and Janie Murphy. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 46 years, Rev. Leonard Miller, Jr., 3 sisters and a son-in-law.
