Donta Lamont Ragland, 34, of Springfield, Ohio passed away peacefully at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center on Friday, April 11, 2025.  He was born November 13, 1990, in Springfield, Ohio to Annette Ragland and Donald L. Jordan.

Donta attended Springfield City Schools until the 11th grade then moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota where he furthered his education, graduating with his diploma and also receiving his certifications in culinary arts.  He worked for the McDonald's establishment for many years and Rose City.

Donta loved to cook, travel, watch football and spend time with his family and friends.

Donta leaves behind a brother, Curtis (Kelly) Ragland; two sisters, Damyra (Kyra) Ragland Messenger and Da'Netta Jordan all of Springfield, Ohio; six uncles, Ronnie (Sherry) Ragland, Rick (Justine) Ragland, Andrew (Lavonda) Jordan, Rick Jordan, Kevin Jordan and Anthony Jordan all of Springfield, Ohio; one aunt, Pamela Linson James of Saint Paul, Minnesota and a host of nieces, nephews, two god daughters and three brothers in Christ, Maurice and Anthony Long and Brian (Ciera) White.  A special thank you to the Long family for considering Donta as one of your own children.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Annette Ragland and father, Donald Jordan, aunts, uncles and grandparents.  At this time the Ragland and Jordan family would like to acknowledge everyone for their kindness during our time of bereavement.

Visitation is Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life service at 12 noon in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
