Della Mae (Hight) Toliver, quietly answered the Lord's call on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the age of 97.  She was born August 8, 1922 in Rome, Georgia to Riley and  Alice Hight (Wells).  She came to Springfield, Ohio with her parents as a young child and was educated in the Springfield City School System.  She was baptized at an early age while attending church with her mother and recommitted her life to Christ on June 13, 2013.  Her life circumstances made it difficult for her to attend church regularly but she loved the Lord and experienced a deep and personal relationship with Him.

She adored her family and was dearly loved by all their friends and hers.  She was very private, humble and strong.  Della was an avid reader throughout to her last days and enjoyed passions for music, dancing, flower gardens, sewing and cooking.

On August 26, 1936, she married her late, loving husband, Partridge Jonas Toliver Sr. who passed away in 1990.  The raised eight      children.  She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Phyllis (Russell) Offutt, Marletta (late Joseph) Lewis and Cynthia (late  Delvin Sr.) Harshaw; sons, Partridge  "Sonny" (Vicky) Toliver Jr., Duane Toliver and Trevor Toliver.  Preceded in death by two sons, Keith and LaVerne Toliver; brothers, Leroy and Foster and sisters, Willie Hight and Bessie Cromer.  Other loving survivors include 18 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friend, Maria Turner.

Visitation is Friday, August 7, 2020 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon in the Robrt C. Henry-Clark Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
