Deacon Harry Eugene "Heck" Channels, 64, of Springfield, entered into his eternal rest on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2015. He was born September 14, 1951 in Springfield, Ohio a son of Charles E. and Wilma J. (Crochran) Channels. Mr. Channels was a supervisor at Honda of America where he retired after many years of service. Deacon Channels was a devoted and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Family Worship Center and was active on the Deacon Board and several other church organizations. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Teresa Fisher-Channels, a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Teresa Channels, a daughter, Alisha Channels, step-children, Herman (Nicole) Fisher III, Jonathan (Angela) Fisher, Angela (Clint) Young and Danielle Fisher; His father, Charles (Norma) Channels, a sister, Cassaundra Channels, brothers, Charles (Rolanda Humphrey) Channels, Stephen (Mabel) Channels, Minister Edwin Channels, Minister Keith (Valerie) Crochran and District Elder Michael (Tobi) Cooper, Sr. and a number of other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, his first wife, Mary Johnson-Channels and a brother, Clinton Channels. Visitation for Deacon Channels will be Saturday, January 2, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon in the Church of Jesus Family Worship Center. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday in the Church with District Elder Michael Cooper, Sr., officiating and Pastor Jason Channels, Eulogist. Burial will be Monday at 12:00 Noon in Rose Hill Burial Park. Funeral arrangements are by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
