June 25, 1954 – February 19, 2026
On February 19, 2026 the Lord called Dale Gregory Wilson Sr. home. He leaves to cherish in memory one brother, Gary Allen; his eldest daughter, Jasmine Wilson (who loved and cared for him with devotion); daughter, Dione (Ronald) Bouye (his baby girl), Celeste Sparks (his bonus daughter whom he loved as his own); one son, Dale Wilson Jr. (Sport); special son, Mark Thomas Jr.; 20 grandchildren including his first grandson who he always referred to as his main man, Jaleel Wilson, Jsean Wilson, Jamareon Wilson-Thomas, Jamarkus Wilson-Thomas, all of whom loved him dearly and devoted countless hours to spend with him, Mark Thomas III; his eldest granddaughter and birthday twin who provided endless care for him in his time of need and who he loved dearly, Mar’Naesha Thomas, his beloved granddaughter who he thought the world of, Rileigh Bouye, Jaiden Myrick, Saraiya Myrick, a special granddaughter, Asia Lynn Wilson who he shared his smile with; a special grandson who reminded him so much of his only son, Dale Brailen Wilson who he loved dearly, Martez Sparks, Lavender Sparks, Geniya Golden, Jazlynn Person, Onyx Person, Oryn Person, Olyn Person and Jade Person; six great grandchildren, Isreal, Jace, Carter, Ayla, Tae’laun and Jaleel Jr.; three special nephews, Brandon, Shannon Ferguson and David Wilson; two special friends/brothers for over 65 years, Tobe Gentry II and Claude “Pickle” Castleberry as well as two special cousins, Lester Embry and Terrance Enoch.
Dale is preceded in death by his mother, Bernice (Wilson) Harless; brother, David Wilson and grandson, Kamell Golden.
On behalf of the family, we would like to thank Southbrook Nursing Home for the exceptional care they provided to our father. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lisa Salyer-Lennon and Dawn Rickman of Allenview Care Center. Your kindness, support and dedication did not go unnoticed and will always be remembered.
Visitation is Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. in Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
