Obituary

Curtis A. Harrison, age 70, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015. He was born August 30, 1945 in Georgetown, Georgia the son of Solie and Ruby Harrison. Curtis graduated from Springfield South High School and attended Central State University. He retired after over 32 years of service from Navistar International, in Springfield. Curtis knew the Lord. He grew up as a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, sang in the choir at the Church of Jesus and later joined Greater Grace Temple. Curtis was preceded in death by his mother and father, one brother, Solie Harrison, Jr.; three grandchildren, Shane Wallace, Jr., Nashaee Wallace, and Anne Tangeman. Left to cherish Curtis' memory include his wife of 20 years, Selena; children, Monica Singletary, Shannon (Dennis) Tangeman, Kelly (Joshua) Wynn, Curtis B. Harrison (Stacy Jones); grandchildren, Erin Morris, Delmarque Hammond, Sierra Hammond, Kellcey Harrison, Ke'Shayla Wallace, Joskoya Wynn, Daniel Shaw, Curtis Harrison Jr., Natile Harrison and Lennox Harrison; great granddaughter, Kaylei Parks; one brother, Eugene (Marlyene) Harrison and a host of other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to Operation Give Back, St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation is Friday from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 7p.m. in St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Burial is Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
