Obituary

Craig E. Davis Sr., 70, of Springfield, Ohio transitioned from this life to glory April 22, 2026. Craig was born March 2, 1956, in Springfield, Ohio to Lewis and Fern (Lynch) Davis and was one of 14 children. Craig was joined in marriage to Janice (Jackson) Davis on June 3, 1981, and had 3 sons who he adored. A graduate of South High School, Craig worked for American Honda Inc. of Marysville, Ohio until retirement. Craig gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Church of Jesus Family Worship Center of Springfield, Ohio where he loved singing in the choir. An avid lover of basketball, the Andy Griffith Show and his wife’s cooking. Craig leaves behind a legacy of love, a giving heart, an incredible sense of humor, and a spirit that could make friends of any stranger.

He is survived by his loving wife; his sons Craig (Melissa) Davis Jr. of Springfield, Ohio, Aaron Davis of District Heights, Maryland, and Von (Brittany) Davis of Killeen, Texas; brothers, Douglas E. (Ruth) Davis, Bruce (Leotha) Davis, and Michael S. Davis; sisters, Fern R. Freeman, Linda K. Harris, and Gale Worthington; seven grandchildren, Jahlil, Jahmir, Jordan, Laylah, Londyn, Brielle, and Sevynn, many cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and extended family and many more friends and loved ones who mourn his loss.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lewis L. Davis Jr., Thomas Davis, and Frank Anthony Davis; and sisters, Jane C. Gray, Gloria Jean Davis, Mary E. Smith, and Pearl D. Davis.

In accordance with Craig’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects during a public visitation and brief memorial on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Greater Grace Temple (380 West Leffel Lane, Springfield, Ohio 45506.
