Columbus Jenkins, 80, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019.  He was born March 28, 1939 in Jackson, Mississippi the son of Jack and Arlene (Hill) Jenkins.  Columbus retired after many years of dedicated service from Navistar.  He is survived by his children, Derrick Jenkins of Louisville, Kentucky, Lisa (Paul) Owsley of Arlington, Texas, Lalita Jenkins of Louisville, Kentucky, and Columbus M.( Dee) Jenkins of Louisville, Kentucky; sisters, Maria (Chris) Stringer of Louisville, Kentucky, Betty Todd of Louisville, Kentucky and Frances Dunkerson of detroit, Michigan, 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Rosetta (Vance) Jenkins  Visitation is Monday, October 21, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon in St. John Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
