Obituary

Cleophia "Cleo" Guyton, 66, of Springfield, Ohio passed away unexpectedly July 2, 2017 in Talledega, Alabama where he was born and raised. Cleo was a member and trustee of Striver Club. He was employed at Hobart, Inc. for numerous years before his development of Cleo Construction. Cleo was a pillar in the community showing young African American men they too can become successful in the construction industry through hard work and dedication. He will be very much missed and forever loved by his family and friends. Cleo leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Phedonia Garrett Guyton; his wife of 47 years, Pearlie Wells Guyton; sons, Roderick (Makeba) Guyton and Cleophia Guyton, Jr.; daughters, Dannett Guyton, Barbara (Robert)Fletcher, Heather (Victor)Bishop and Cassandra (TeJay) Guyton; brother, Johny (Mary Ann) Guyton; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; best friends, Woody Berrien, Adam Blake and Clifton "Cliff" Crockran, who were like brothers to him; special aunt, Rossetta Garrett and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ulyesse Guyton and John Moss Kelly, two brothers, three uncles and one aunt.
