Clarissa E. (Champion) Jones, 79, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022.  Clarissa was loved by everyone she came into contact with.  Clarissa loved her family.  She came from a proud family, a big and warm family!  She never met a stranger and opened her door to anyone and never saw anyone go hungry.  Ressie was taught respect at an early age.  Clarissa, known by many as "Ressie", enjoyed her family and her pet, Dougie Jones.  Ressie had been married to Fred Jones Jr.

Clarissa was saved by Christ and welcomed her wings.  She will be missed dearly.

Clarissa leaves to cherish her memory her son, Brian E. Jones; grandchildren, who were the love of her life and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie Mae (Champion) and Clarence Thomas, son, Mark Anthony Thomas Sr.. and sister, Jerry.

She was cared for by Jessica Stouthers as well as Stephanie Southers throughout her transition.
