Obituary

Clarence Peakes-Harris, 72, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 27, 2015. Clarence was born March 28, 1943 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Truman and Evelyn Harris. He was a retired Navy Veteran earning a Purple Heart. Clarence Peakes-Harris retired from General Motors. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend. Clarence was a devoted and faithful member of Bethel Apostolic Church for many years. He loved to help and pray for others and read the word of God. He loved the Lord and was truly a solider. To celebrate the memory of Clarence's life, he is survived by his mother, Evelyn; wife, Shirley Harris; loving children, Andre (Delorse) Gaines, Patrice Holland, Clarence L. Harris Jr., Mahogany Colquitt, Shantilly Colquitt, Gilda (Chris) Mitchell and Nina (Max) St.Luce; three brothers, Truman (Lenora Carter) Harris, Charles (Sandy) Harris of Phoenix, AZ, Jeffrey (Lucilla) Harris of New Jersey; three sisters, Frances (OJ) Hassell and Valerie (Tim) Adams of Phoenix AZ. and Bonnie Simpson of Columbus, Ohio; a host of grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends; special friend, Elder Ragan. He is preceded in death by his father, Truman Harris and brother, Delvert Miller.
