Christopher Len Davis Sr., 53, departed this life peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1972, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Gregory McCormick and Diane (Davis) Means.
Chris graduated from Springfield South High School and joined hearts in marriage to LaChrissa Trollinger, with whom he shared four children. Chris’ greatest passion was being a great husband and father to his children and grandchildren. He was also known for his love of financial currency, music, and for being a loyal fan of the Washington Commanders (formerly the Redskins).
Chris leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, LaChrissa Davis; seven children—sons, Chris Davis Jr. and Christian Davis; daughters, Tiera, Stefanie, Carissa, SiReya, and Caralen Davis; and his cherished grandchildren. Kambree, Noelle, Kamora, Gianni, Naura, Major, Nehemiah, and Masai Davis and bonus daughter, Gabrielle Moore.
He is also survived by his parents, Gregory (Demetria) McCormick and Diane (Pastor Dewitt) Means; grandmother, Agnes Starling; brothers, Gregory McCormick Jr. and Tyler Means; sister, Brandie McCormick; mother‑in‑law, Jeanie Boyd; father‑in‑law, Ronnie Boyd; sister-in-law, Porshia (Rubbennie) Stephens; uncles, Dennis (Tomomi) Davis, Ronnie (Donna) Givens Sr., Lonnie (Carrie) Givens, Sean (Helen) Givens and Arthur (Bert) Trollinger; aunts, Debra (Darryl) Mabra, Patricia Eason, and Pierett Hayes and a special cousin‑brother, Darren (Penny) Davis. Chris was surrounded by a large, loving village of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leon and Margie Davis, and his paternal grandparents, Winferd Starling and Edward McCormick Sr.; uncles, Edward McCormick Jr., Ulysses (Sam) Eason, Tom and Willie Trollinger; sister-in-law, LaTanya (Vern)Trollinger; aunts, Clemmie and Louise Trollinger, and a special friend, Joseph (Joe) Hampton.
A graveside service will be held at Ferncliff Cemetery on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.
Some lives are defined by achievement, others by passion—but the most remarkable are defined by love. Chris’ greatest work was the love he poured into his family, a love that will outlast time itself.
