Charlotte Denise Nawaz-Hayes, 59, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 15, 2019 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. She had a personality that was bold and vicarious and it touched many souls. Charlotte was born April 15, 1960 in Springfield, OH to the late Maybell Hayes-Sykes and Will Hayes II. She is also preceded in death by her maternal sister, Tonya McCoun; brother, William "June Bug" Bates; aunt, Sharon Johnson and paternal sister, Vera Eubanks. She is survived by her significant other of 18-years, Clarence "Tommy" Payne; only child, Salen (Aneka) Hayes; brother, Will Hayes; sisters, Vivian (Victor) Griffin, Betty Bates and Katherine (George) Minders; her only grandson, Avery Hayes. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. for the viewing and 10:00 a.m. for the service at The "L" 1530 S.
