Charles Heard, 79, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Friday, November 3, 2023.  He was born April 6, 1944 in Calhoun, Georgia the son of Robert E. and Hazel (Wilkey) Heard. He is survived by his daughters, Sylvia Heard of New York, Angela (Todd) Reynolds-Calhoun of Georgia and Teresa Zischler of Georgia; sisters, Emma (John) Brown and Mary Ann (Joseph) Payne both of Springfield, Ohio, two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Charles was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Heard Jr.; brothers, Paul Heard and Nathan Heard,  sister, Mary Alice Carpenter and his companion, Mary.
