Cecilia "Sally" Applin, 77, of Wapakoneta, Ohio and formerly of Springfield, Ohio was born on September 27, 1945 to Cecil and Lucille M. (Armstrong) Jones Jr.  Sally was peacefully whisked away in the wee hours of Christmas morning to dwell with our Lord and    Savior.

Sally was an employee at Drackett in Urbana, Ohio for    several years.  She then attended Clark State University where she received her nursing degree.  Sally moved to Phoenix, Arizona and worked for a few years before moving to Wapakoneta, Ohio.

Sally is survived by a son, Melvin (Tina) Applin Jr.; granddaughters, Destinee, Diamond (King Agyei) and Tigis Applin; great granddaughter, Prayer of Wapakoneta, Ohio; brother, Richard Armstrong; sister, Charm Wilkerson; uncle, Clarence Miller all of Springfield, Ohio; sisters, Judith  Stewart, Marianne Jones, Berneda Jones, Vicky Jones, Rebecca Jones and special niece, Joyce Wilkerson all of Phoenix, Arizona.  Sally is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Sally on her journey Home was her son, Todd Applin; parents, Cecil and Lucille M. (Armstrong) Jones Jr.; sister, Patricia "Patty" Jones and brother, Cecil Jones III.

Visitation is Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
