In Loving Memory of Barbara J. Williamson

Barbara Jean (Moreland) Williamson, 94, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025.  She was born December 24, 1930 in Urbana, Illinois the daughter of George and Dorothy (Franklin) Moreland.

Mrs. Williamson received her Associates Degree in business and retired from Wittenberg University after many years of dedicated service. She was a devoted member of New North Street A.M.E. Church and loved to sing in the church choir.

Barbara leaves behind to mourn her passing her beloved husband of 71 years, Bobbie Williamson; sisters, Florence Powell and Judy Motley; brothers, James, Jerry and Jonathan Moreland; nieces, Angela and Donna Moreland & nephews, Michael Moreland and Kevin Polite. She also leaves a host of  beloved relatives, friends, extended loved ones, neighbors and her New North Street A.M.E Church Family  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Myrtle Moreland and brothers, George and Virgil Moreland.

Mr. Bobbie Williamson wishes to acknowledge with sincere gratitude and appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown during this time of bereavement.

A heartfelt "thank you" to the staff that diligently cared for Barbara at Villa of Springfield Nursing Home and a special thank you to Rev. Jacqueline Randolph and the  Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.

Visitation is Monday, September 8, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11a.m. in New North Street A.M.E. Church.  Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery..
