Barbara Ann Francis Dye, 74 of Springfield, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born March 23, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the eldest daughter of Mabrey and Margaret (Currie) Duff, both deceased. Barbara was a member of New North Street AME Church, Court of Calanthe Sprig of Myrtle Court #17 and the Retirement Set in Springfield, Ohio. She was a retired educator with Springfield City Schools, teaching at the elementary level for over 30 years. Barbara Dye leaves to cherish her memory, one son Robert Martin "Marty" Dye of Pittsburgh, PA, one daughter Roxanne Dye Grimes of Douglasville, GA; daughter-in-law Bridget Ann Ballantine Dye of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren Bre'ona Alexes Dye Fergerson, Brennen Antoine Dye Fergerson of Douglasville, GA, Alicia Blair Ballantine Dye, Robert Tobias Ballantine Dye, Cassandra Lindsey Ballantine Dye of Pittsburgh, PA; two sisters Sandra McCaskill and Karen Duff of Pittsburgh, PA; one brother Mabrey Duff Jr. of Knoxville, TN; one niece Mikea Wall of Pittsburgh, PA; two nephews Gregory Felton and Jeffrey Felton of Pittsburgh, PA; and a host of additional family and friends. She was preceded in death by nephew Kenneth Felton Jr. Barbara Dye's body has been entrusted to Robert C. Henry Funeral Home, 527 S. Center Ave, Springfield, Ohio. The family will be arriving at service at 12:30pm . The family requests bright celebration of life attire.
