Baharu Jeru Mahmood passed away unexpectedly February 14, 2016. He was born September 20, 1972. Baharu resided in Springfield his entire life and attended Springfield High School and became a member of An-Nur Islamic Center at an early age. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Horace and Bertha (Sue Carter) Mahmood; his only son, Rahmaan Timmes; wife, Lynne (Jones) Mahmood; special friend, Ami (Monique) Timmes and children; sisters, Tracey (Joe) Sanford, and Zonayetta Mahmood. Many other family members share this loss including aunts and uncles, Norman Carter; Vicki Carter, Richard Darden, James (Sarah) Darden, Susiette (Timothy) Williams, Evelyn Darden; loving grandmother, Naomi Carter; special nieces and nephews, Taheerah, Jovon, Chynna, and Carter and a great nephew, William Jack Robinson V. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth Carter Sr., Howard Darden, Gertrude (Cook-Darden) Bundridge; uncles, Kenneth Jr., Garrett and Anthony Carter; aunt, Marie Darden and cousin, Andre' Darden.
