Annette Holiday, born on June 2, 1938, in Logan, West Virginia, passed away on February 24, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky.
She was the beloved daughter of Viola Headen-Rosser and James Rosser Sr. Annette was preceded in death by her siblings Jeanette Rosser, Shirley Rosser-Arnold, James Rosser Jr., Nathaniel (Barbara) Rosser, Robert Rosser, Marvin Rosser, and Gregory Rosser. She is survived by her brothers Willie Rosser and Ernest (Sherry) Rosser. A devoted mother, Annette leaves behind her children Victoria Knox, Frances Rosser, Everett King, Anjanette King-Williams, James Bradley (Tiffani) Holiday, and Brandon Holiday. She was preceded in death by her son Marques (Sherri) Knox. She also mourned the loss of her grandchildren Paul Stone Jr. and Brian Rosser. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren, including Ebony Woody-Clark, Marques Knox Jr., Karrell Knox, Shindey Smoot, Dwayne Kellam, Dominique Kellam, Brandy Rosser, Kyare Hubert, Rian Gibson, Teira Applin, Angel Trimble, D'Angelo Williams, Justin Holiday, Javion Holiday, Semaj Holiday, Marquis Holiday, Tyren Holiday, Collen Withrow, Makayla Holiday, and Brandon Holiday Jr., as well as a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Annette dedicated much of her career to the United States Postal Service and retired as a supervisor. Even in retirement, she remained active as a substitute teacher and later worked as a floral clerk for Kroger. She was cherished by many students as their favorite substitute teacher and was a pillar of her church community. Her faith was central to her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
Visitation for Annette Holiday is Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
