Ami Michelle Oliver, born on January 4, 1991, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away on June 18, 2025, at Kettering Health Center, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence McKinney and Cheryl Oliver. Though Ami fought valiantly, God called her home, and her earthly battle came to an end.

A 2009 graduate of Shawnee High School. Ami was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Family Worship Center. She found great joy in being a loving mother to her daughter, Ava. Ami also had a passion for shopping and cherished her work as a Clark County Deputy Sheriff, serving diligently in the role for nearly 10 years.

Ami leaves behind her precious daughter, Ava M. Cartwright; her loving mother, Cheryl K. Oliver; Stepfather, Eugene Yates, her sisters, Lisa McPherson and Rochelle (Clarence) Smith; her brothers, Thomas (Tiffany) Smith, Aaron (Joy) Oliver, Larry (Danielle) Ferguson, and Sean Johnson. She is also survived by her uncles, Gregory and Steven Oliver; nieces, Jodeci and   Ashayla; nephews, Ryan, Isreal, Marquise, DeAndre, Tony, Jamal, and Jordy; as well as special friends, Kaytee Grable, Jasmine Smith, Alyssa Brown, Sergeant Mario Troutman, Deputy Norris and Deputy Bowers, and Diane and Ian Sanders. Ami will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on through her family, friends, and the lives she touched in her community.

Ami was preceded in death by her father; her maternal grandparents, James and Courtney Oliver; her nephew, Geoffrey L. Andrews Jr.; as well as her uncle.

Visitation is Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon in Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park with the Clark County Sheriff's Department rendering honors.
