Allen R. Howard, 63, born Sept. 23, 1954 to George and Velma Howard in Springfield, OH., passed away August 30, 2018 at South Brook Care Center. Allen had 9 siblings, Larry "Greasy" Howard (Juanita), Saundra "Bootsie" Cotton, George "Poncho" Howard Jr.(Valerie), Vicky Gullatte, Stacey McGowan, John Howard, William Pendergrass (Lori), Leon Howard (Crystal), and Nicole Poole. Allen received an honorable discharged from the US Army. He returned to Ohio in 1995 after retiring from the El Paso, TX ISD as a lead custodian. Allen loved recreational vehicles and playing music with some local bands. He had an infectious passion for fishing. Allen is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, DeAnna Dixon (Errick), in Toledo; grandchildren, Peter Howard (Alinia) and AriAnna Robinson; special nephews, Richard Howard (Helena), Drew, Lamont and Victor (Heather) Bishop and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Visitation is Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dayton National Cemetery.
