Alice L. "Nancy" Perymon, 94, of Springfield, OH passed away on Aug 26, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. Nancy was born on Oct 4, 1923 in Springfield, OH to the late Jake and Betsy Holtz. She was a life-long, dedicated member of New North Street AME church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 59 years, John P. Perymon, daughters, Patricia Ann Perymon and Monica M. Holmes, sister Ada Jeffries, brother James Holtz, and great grandchildren Jessica Ilesanmi and Jamari Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children John (Katherine) Perymon Jr. of Berkley CA; Gloria "Jeannie" Woods of Springfield OH; Anthony (Linda) Perymon of Yeadon PA; Aundrea (Keith) Edwards of Dayton OH, Dwayne Eric (Rene Chilton) Perymon of Springfield OH and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nancy attended Springfield High School and worked for Wren's Department Store. She served as past president of the Springfield Parent Teachers Association and often volunteered her time to children's causes. Nancy loved to shop, travel and talk with family and friends. She was a good person to talk to and obtain advice. She enjoyed bowling and bowled in Springfield bowling leagues and tournaments for many years. Ultimately, she was a woman of faith and a survivor who overcame many personal challenges in her life. But most importantly, Nancy was all about family. She loved and dearly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She often watched many in her extended family and would do anything she could to help those who needed help. We will miss her zest for life, love of family and her enduring spirit.
