Ethel Ferguson, 86, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 24, 2019 in her residence. Ethel was born to the union of Joseph and Mary (Trapp) Glenn on March 17, 1933 in Columbia, South Carolina. She was a graduate of Springfield High School. Ethel was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church for 72 years where she served on the Finance Ministry, Vacation Bible School and Geneva Walker Circle. Outside of St. John MBC she was a member of The Friends Clubs.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Veronica Leech and a son, Kirk Ferguson both of Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Tryvan (Molly) Leech of Huber Heights, Ohio and Kristopher Ferguson of Kansas; great grandchildren, Teah Leech, Stella Palmer, Tryvan Leech III and Drue Leech; sister, Wilhelmina Griffin of Springfield, Ohio; special friends, Alex and Virginia McCarty, Margaret Echols and Louise Wilson and many other relatives and friends. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James S. Ferguson and son, James S. Ferguson Jr.
. Visitation is Monday, December 2, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
